Rules

It is your responsibity to know the rule books. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Western attire and tack: long sleeve shirts, Cowboy hat, and cowboy boots. Western saddle and headstall are required.

Fees

  • LRRCHA Office $20 each horse.
  • Stalls $75 per weekend Friday and Saturday night (includes 2 bags of shavings).
  • Stalls $30 per day.
  • Shavings $10 per bag.
  • Grounds $15 per horse (if hauling in).
  • RV $90 Friday and Saturday night (water, sewer, and electric) first come first serve. You will need a RV parking pass. No trailer parking in the RV area.
  • RV $45 per day.
  • LRRCHA Membership $35 per adult annual. Membership is required. Youth 18 under is FREE
  • LRRCHA Ranch Classes $20 per class
  • LRRCHA Pee Wee Division $55
  • LRRCHA Cow class $20(class)$25(payback)$70(cattle)

Please note if you pre-register and do not show, failure to let us know you are a scratch will impose a $45 fee plus cattle fees if applicable. We accept all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, and checks. All invoices will be emailed to you once you have registered. Please make sure to prepay your invoice in a timely fashion this will speed up registration on show day. If registering on show day you will be placed at the beginning of the draw order. You must be registered 30min before the class starts.

LRRCHA Awards

Each class will receive 1st-6th place. High Point Awards will be awarded in every Division for LRRCHA Ranch and Cow classes. Chart below is used for calculating points.

Cash is paid out in all Cow classes ONLY. The NRCHA payout chart will be used for all payouts and is based on the number of horses in the class. Cash will be given to all the cow class exhibitors once results are confirmed. Ranch Class Awards will be given at the conclusion of your division once results are confirmed. We ask in advance for your patience as we confirm results and tally points. Score cards will be available for your review once we receive them from the judge. Score cards will NOT be posted to our website. We encourage you to take a picture of your scores. All point/money earned verifications and standings will be available for your review at every show.

If you are a member in good standing, you are eligible for series end awards. A Champion and Res. Champion will be awarded as well as the Top 5.

Show Information

Draws will be posted on the day before the show. You will find them on our Draw/Stall/RV page and in the office day of show. If you are a late entry, you will be put at the top of the draw order. Boards will be posted at every arena showing the order of go, patterns, and the show schedule. Please be on time so we can keep the show moving.

Stall assignments will also be posted the day prior to show. You may find your stall and RV information on the Draw/Stall/RV page and in the office on show day. Shavings will be placed in your assigned secured stall. If your stall is open upon arrival, please let show management know immediately. Hauling in for the day. All haul ins will park on the right side of the main arena in the stone parking lot. Please clean up after your horses.

Office hours on show day will open at 6:30am and close at end of show. When arriving please check in. If arriving the day before we ask that you email a copy of your coggins to [email protected].

All invoices must be paid in full before receiving your back number. Adding and scratching a class; you are able to add a class 30min before the start of the class. You may scratch at any time, NO refunds will be given after draws are posted.

LRRCHA Cow Class Information

Before the start of the show cattle are settled. Drags will run according to the schedule. We offer single cow work; you enter the pen call for your cow.

  • Green Horse- Boxing (Horses first year showing)

LRRCHA Ranch Class Information

Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Riding, Ranch Trial, and Ranch Reining classes will be point-earning for All Around division Champion and Reserve Champion high point. Points will be calculated based on point chart.

Ranch Divisions:

  • Open
  • Green Horse (horses any age but have never shown)
  • Jr. Horse (horses 5 and under)
  • Amateur
  • Rookie Amateur (no more than 2 years of showing experience)
  • Adult W/T (cannot be loping at home)
  • Youth
  • Rookie Youth (no more than 2 years of showing experience.

All Ranch classes will receive 1st-6th place ribbons.

All divisions will have an All-Around Champion and Reserve Champion awards and prizes.

LRRCHA Pee Wee Division

This division is open to any child 8 years old and younger. 3 classes are offered, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Trial, Cow (human dressed as a cow). These classes will be modified and will run in the Main arena during the lunch break. One exhibitor at a time will compete in all 3 classes. Western attire for both horse and rider is mandatory, we are a ranch show, No bling, braids, sparkles, etc. Riders may be assisted by a lead line handler on ground or mounted. Riders may also ride with no assistance. This is a point earning division and will be awarded Division Champion and Reserve Champion at each show as well as series end awards.

LRRCHA Walk/Trot Division

This division is ONLY for beginner riders and riders that are unable to lope or are not loping at home. NO professionals are allowed to enter this division. If you can lope successfully at home, we encourage you to enter in the other divisions offered. AQHA rules will apply to this division. Tack rules will be enforced, snaffle bit and bosals are to be ridden two handed and shank bits are to be ridden one handed. All Ranch patterns are modified, example: Lope = Trot, Extended Lope = Extended Trot.
