It is your responsibility to know the rule books. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Western attire and tack: long sleeve shirts, Cowboy hat, and cowboy boots. Western saddle and headstall are required.


Membership for LRRCHA and NRCHA

LRRCHA membership is required to show. LRRCHA is dedicated to growing our youth program. One way we are able to achieve this goal is by offering FREE membership to all youth 18 and under. LRRCHA Membership is $35 per adult annually.

  • NRCHA Membership is $65 before January 1st/ $75 after January 1st and is good for 1 year, 3-year membership is $180 before January 1st/ $210 after January 1st, Lifetime membership is $650 before January 1st/ $750 after January 1st.

LRRCHA Awards

Each class will receive 1st-6th place ribbons. All Around awards will be awarded in every Division. At the end of the show. Chart below is used for calculating points.

If you are a member in good standing, you are eligible for series end awards. A Champion and Res. Champion will be awarded as well as the Top 5 in every Division. We have 11 shows on the schedule, points from your best 6 shows will be calculated for the year end awards. The final Ranch Show will be held at 5T Lampley-Key Ranch, Hallettsville. Awards party to follow show. Must attend to receive awards or you can pay shipping.

NRHCA Awards

NRCHA payout chart will be used for all payouts and is based on the number of horses in the class.

Show Information

Draws will be posted on the day before the show. You will find them in the office day of show. If you are a late entry, you will be put at the top of the draw order. Boards will be posted at every arena showing the order of go, patterns, and the show schedule. Please be on time so we can keep the show moving. We will not have paper copies of the event schedule or patterns, please take a picture.

Stall assignments will also be posted the Thursday prior to show. You may find your stall and RV information on the Event Schedule page and in the office on Friday. Shavings will be placed in your assigned secured stall. If your stall is open upon arrival, please let show management know immediately. All haul ins will park on the right side of the main arena in the stone parking lot. Please clean up after your horses. No hay bags are permitted in the arenas.

Office hours: Friday 12:00pm-6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 6:00am- End of Show. Please email a copy of your coggins to [email protected].

Classes are $20, Office Fee $20, Stalls $35, Shavings $10, Day Haul in $15 RV spots $45. All invoices must be paid in full before receiving your back number. Adding and scratching a class; you are able to add a class 30min before the start of the class. You may scratch at any time, NO refunds will be given after draws are posted. Please note if you pre-register and do not show, failure to let us know you are a scratch will impose a $50 fee plus cattle fees if applicable. We accept all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, and checks. All invoices will be emailed to you once you have registered. Please make sure to prepay your invoice in a timely fashion this will speed up registration on show day. If registering on show day you will be placed at the beginning of the draw order. You must be registered 30min before the class starts. A credit card will be kept on file.

NRCHA Winnings will be paid day of once results are confirmed. You will only receive your winnings if you have paid in full. If paying day of with a check your winnings will be mailed to you once your check has cleared.

LRRCHA Ranch/Stock Class/Division Awards and Payouts will be given at the conclusion of your division once results are confirmed. We ask in advance for your patience as we confirm results and tally points. Score cards will be available for your review once we receive them from the judge. Score cards will NOT be posted to our website. We encourage you to take a picture of your scores. All point/money earned verifications and standings will be available for your review at every show.

LRRCH

LRRCHA Pee Wee Division

This division is open to any child 8 years old and younger. 8 year olds cannot cross enter into Youth classes. 3 classes are offered, Ranch Pleasure, Ranch Trial, Cow (human dressed as a cow). These classes will be modified and will run in the Main arena during the lunch break. One exhibitor at a time will compete in all 3 classes. Western attire for both horse and rider is mandatory, we are a ranch show, No bling, braids, sparkles, etc. Riders may be assisted by a lead line handler on ground or mounted. Riders may also ride with no assistance. This is a point earning division and will be awarded Division Champion and Reserve Champion at each show as well as series end awards.

LRRCHA Walk/Trot Division

This division is ONLY for beginner riders and riders that are unable to lope or are not loping at home. NO professionals or Non-Pros are allowed to enter this division. If you can lope successfully at home, we encourage you to enter in the other divisions offered. ASHA rules will apply to this division. Tack rules will be enforced, snaffle bit and bosals are to be ridden two handed and shank bits are to be ridden one handed. All Ranch patterns are modified, example: Lope = Trot, Extended Lope = Extended Trot. No drag or roping in this division.

Herd Work

NRCHA rules will be followed.
