Q: When are membership fees due?

A: LRCHA membership is on a rolling calendar year. Meaning the membership is a year long based on the day you join. If you pay your membership Feb. 1, 2026, membership is due the following Feb 1, 2027.

Q: How much is the LRCHA membership?

A: Memberships are $45. Youth memberships are free the first year; their second year and on will be $45.

Q: I want to participate in a NRCHA event at the LRCHA show. What membership do I need?

A: To participate in a NRCHA classes, you need a NRCHA membership. You also need a LRCHA membership.
If you are just showing in LRCHA shows, you just need the LRCHA membership.
Additionally, the owner of the horse and the rider must have memberships for the classes that are being participated in.

Q: When do I need to register for a show?

A: Registration for a show is due two weeks prior to the show date. Registrations are allowed after the date, BUT there will be a late fee ($100) incurred.

Q: If I register, and then realize I cannot make the show, is there a fee for scratching?

A: No, there are no scratch fees.

Q: Why is registration so early?

A: Registering two weeks out allows the show manager to more accurately know how many cows to order, how much show staff is needed, how much shavings, and stalls are going to be needed. Vendors that we use to get cows, shavings, etc. from also need to know ahead of time to make sure they can supply us with what is needed.

Q: What are the office hours for show weeks?

A: Office hours will be Thursday 4pm to 6 pm, Friday 6 am to 6 pm, and Saturday 6 am till the end of the show.

Q: When can I move into my stall and how are stalls charged?

A: Move in can start on Thursday after 4 pm. You will be charged for Thursday stay.
Fridays and Saturdays will be counted as two days starting in 2026. In order to be only charged for 1 day, move out must occur before 9 am.
If you haul in for one day and do not use a stall, you will only be charged a ground fee ($15).

Q: When will I know my draw in the show?

A: Draws for Friday’s runs will be posted at 6 pm on Thursday.
Draws for Saturday’s show will be posted at 6 pm on Friday.

Q: Does the fee for the video get you a copy of the video?

A: No, it does not. The fee does allow you to view the video while the videographer is there. You may purchase a video of your run from the videographer.
